Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben Modi admitted to hospital

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben Modi has been admitted to hospital after her health deteriorated, media reports said on Wednesday.

She is 99.

A statement from UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre has said that her condition is stable. The hospital has not shared any other piece of information, reports NDTV news channel.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met her mother when he went to Gujarat ahead of the Assembly polls.

BJP -State General Secretary - Andhra Pradesh Vishnu Vardhan Reddy tweeted: " Praying for the speedy recovery & good health for Honourable PM Shri @narendramodi ji’s mother Smt Heeraben Modi ji. "
