SC issues notices to Centre and seven states regarding unused SEZ land
New Delhi, Jan 9 (IBNS): The Supreme Court of India, on Monday, issued notices to Centre and seven states on a plea that said the unused land that were acquired for setting up Special Economic Zones (SEZ) must be returned to farmers, according to media reports.
The bench headed by Chief Justice JS Khehar has given the Centre and the states four weeks to file their reply.
The plea was made by an NGO that deals with farmers welfare and protection related to SEZ.
