Senior BJP leader and former Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi is suffering from cancer

Indian politician Sushil Kumar Modi on Wednesday revealed he has been battling cancer for the past six months.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the senior politician wrote on X: "Have been struggling with cancer for the past six months.."

The senior BJP leader further said: "Time has now come to tell people. I won't be able to do much for the upcoming Lok Sabha election and I have informed this to the Prime Minister."

The 72-year old Modi was active in Bihar politics and served the state as Deputy Chief Minister and also state’s Finance Minister during his political career spanning over 30 years.

Several colleagues and others took on to “X” to wish him speedy recovery and good health.
