Ambassa (Tripura), Jul 27 (UNI) A teacher molesting a tribal minor girl inside the class remained at ease as the authority got into rescuing the teacher in the prestigious Salema Class XII School in Dhalai district.

According to sources, the incident took place on July 23 last which the authority managed to subside by arranging a meeting with the school monitoring committee and the guardians of that girl yesterday.

According to the allegation of that molested girl, the teacher Kanu Bhushan Das was taking their class and during the period he slapped on her face. When she broke into tears, the teacher touched different parts of her body time and again in the name of soothing her. When other students protested he left the classroom and after a while again arrived and started to touch her.

When asked about the incident Kanu Bhushan Das remarked, "It is true that I have slapped her and touched her. But I have only touched her head and hairs to calm her down. I had no wrong intention".

The Headmaster of the school Sanjib Das informed, "A show-cause notice is served with the teacher. Yesterday the matter was mitigated in a meeting with the guardians of that girl, school monitoring committee members and all teachers". Other staffs of the school informed that the teacher who used to be a prominent leftist employee leader did such heinous crimes earlier also.

Now, what steps the authority would adopt, remaining the matter to be seen as he violated the Right to Education Act and the modesty of a minor girl.
