Top Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist killed in Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Mar 5 (IBNS): Top Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces and Jammu and Kashmir police in Pulwama district's Let Pora village on Monday evening, police said.

According to Srinagar based army spokesman, on a specific intelligence about presence of some terrorists, who are hiding in the area of Hatwar village of Awantipora, a joint specific operation was launched by 50 RR.

During the operation the mastermind of Sunjawan attack and Lethpora attack, Mufti Waqas was killed, officials said.

He was a top Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist 

“He was mastermind behind several terrorist attacks on security forces including Sunjuwan attack. Weapons & incriminating materials like IED preparation material recovered. He is a foreign terrorist," said SP Pani, Inspector General of Police.
