UP: 12 killed as tanker collides with auto in Shahjahanpur

Shahjahanpur (UP)/UNI: Twelve people were killed when a tanker collided with an auto-rickshaw due to dense fog in Allahganj area of Shahjahanpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, a police officer said.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashok Kumar Meena said that the incident took place on Bareilly-Farrukhabad road when the tanker hit the auto coming from the opposite direction.

"Twelve passengers, including 8 male, 3 female and a child, were killed in the accident," he said.

The police rushed to the spot after getting the information and sent the bodies for postmortem examination.
