UP: Driver's body found hanging inside bus in Sadar Bazar

Shahjahanpur: The body of a driver was found hanging inside the bus under mysterious circumstances at a roadways bus stand in Sadar Bazar area of Shahjahanpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, a roadways officer said here.

Assistant Regional Manager (ARM) of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) Ram Sagar Pandey said that the contractual bus was scheduled to leave for Bareilly around 7.30 am.

"An employee Sandeep Kumar went to ask driver Ankit (25) to bring his vehicle on the platform and leave for Bareilly," he said.

He said that when Sandeep entered the bus after Ankit did not respond he found the latter's body hanging inside the vehicle.

"After this the police were informed which had sent the body for postmortem examination," he said.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sudhir Jaiswal said that the body of driver Ankit, a resident of Allahganj, was found hanging inside the bus on roadways bus stand. He said that on Monday night around 11 pm Ankit had dinner with the conductor after which the latter left for his house.
