USA: Indian student dies in road mishap in Memphis, 2 others injured

An Indian student died and two others were injured in a road mishap in the US city of Memphis on Friday, media reports said.

The mishap reportedly occurred when the car collided with another vehicle.

The deceased woman was identified as 26-year-old Naga Sri Vandana Parimala.

She was studying at the University of Memphis.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries, Republic World reported quoting police.

The deceased, who is from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, moved to the USA in 2022 for higher studies.

The other two students, identified as Pavan and Nikith, were also hospitalised, reported Republic World.
