Uttar Pradesh gangster Munna shot dead in Baghpat jail

Lucknow, July 9 (IBNS): Uttar Pradesh gangster Munna Bajrangi was shot dead inside Baghpat jail on Monday, reports said.

Munna is accused of killing BJP leader Krishnanand Rai .

Amid tight security, Munna was shifted from  Jhansi to  Baghpat jail on Sunday.
Initial reports indicate the involvement of Sunil Rathi gang behind the murder, reported Hindustan Times.

Sources told the newspaper that Bajrangi was shot at 5:30 am when the prisoners were being served tea.

A few months ago Munna's wife had expressed threats to her husband's life.
