Uttar Pradesh: Lucknow-based property dealer killed in Barabanki

A Lucknow-based property dealer was killed with a sharp-edged weapon by unidentified persons in the Kursi area of Barabanki district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Friday.

Police sources said that late on Thursday night information was received that a youth having serious injuries was lying in Kisan Path, the service road towards Bakshi Ka Talab in Lucknow. "The youth was having serious injury marks on his neck and his car was parked nearby," they said.

Police sources said that the youth was taken to the hospital where doctors declared him dead.

"On the basis of the registration number of the vehicle and Aadhar card the deceased was identified as Atul Pandey, a resident of Sector N in Aliganj colony," they said.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Dinesh Singh said that Atul was a property dealer.

"There were injury marks on the neck of the deceased caused by a sharp-edged weapon. Four suspects have been detained and are being quizzed," they said.
