Voters will suffer electric shock if they press second button on EVM machine: Chhattisgarh Congress leader warns
Raipur, Apr 17 (IBNS): Chhattisgarh Congress MLA Kawasi Lakhma has triggered a controversy by allegedly scaring voters that if they press the second button on the EVM machine while exercising their franchise during the ongoing Lok Sabha elections then they will suffer electric shock.
“ If you press the first button, pressing the second button will give you an electric shock,” the state minister was quoted as saying by the media.
He made the controversial remark while addressing a rally at Korar in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district.
The Congress leader is a five-time MLA from Konta seat.
Chhattisgarh is voting in the Lok Sabha poll sin three phases.
First phase of polling was held on Apr 11.
The next two phases will take place on Apr 18 and 23.
