The government has directed the owners of all salons and beauty parlours to ensure all staff and customers are fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

Earlier, the government had imposed certain restrictions including closure of schools, colleges, universities, salons, spa, gym to contain the spread of the virus, not going into the blanket curb mode.

The government had backtracked in its decision to run local trains till 7 pm in the evening by extending the hours by three.

The restrictions are expected to continue till Jan 15.
