World Health Day: PM Modi reiterates commitment to ensure quality healthcare for all

New Delhi/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the government will continue working to augment health infrastructure and ensure quality healthcare to the people.

Modi made these remarks on the 'World Health Day', which is being observed around the world on Friday.

"On World Health Day, we express gratitude to all those who work to make our planet healthier. Our government will continue working to augment health infrastructure and ensure quality healthcare to the people," he tweeted.

April 7th is marked as World Health Day, to commemorate the foundation of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948.

The theme for World Health Day 2023 is ‘Health for All’. It also marks the birthday of the World Health Organisation (WHO) which was founded in 1948.

This year the world health body is observing its 75th anniversary.

Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya also wished people and reiterated the government's commitment towards building a healthier India.
