Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt has called iconic fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee "visionary and storyteller" along with praising him for mixing tradition with innovation as the popular couturier completed 25 years of his professional journey.

Alia made a stunning entry at Sabyasachi's 25 years celebrations where other Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone walked the ramp opening up the show on Saturday night.

While the audience gazed at Deepika's walk on the ramp, Alia stole the limelight as she walked into the programme raising the mercury level.

Alia wore a black Murshidabad silk saree with a gorgeous blouse full of precious stones with a plunging neckline for the gala event, which was the destination for several top B-Town celebrities.

In a congratulatory post for Sabyasachi, the 31-year-old actress wrote, "25 years of crafting dreams, preserving heritage, and redefining excellence. To me Sabya, you are more than a designer—you’re a visionary and a storyteller.

"I’ve been privileged to wear your creations over the years, from global red carpets to personal milestones (wedding memories I’ll cherish forever). Your work isn’t just fashion—it’s art, blending tradition and innovation with unmatched finesse."

"You once said, 'I believe that the best fashion comes from a deep understanding of culture and heritage.” And that’s exactly what you do. Your commitment to Indian craftsmanship and culture is an inspiration to us all. Here’s to many more years of brilliance and magic!!!!!'"

Alia, a Bollywood A-lister, has collaborated with Sabyasachi on a number of occasions.

Some of the top events where Alia wore Sabyasachi-designed attire were her marriage with actor Ranbir Kapoor and a very recent Met Gala event.

In tandem with her consciousness of nature, Alia had paid homage to the natural beauty of the world through her saree- designed by celebrity fashion designer Sabyasachi- at the Met Gala last year.

Promoting sustainable nature, the 'Jigra' actress had repeated her bridal saree designed by Sabyasachi at the National Film Awards ceremony where she was honoured as the best actress jointly with Kriti Sanon.

She was awarded for her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi where she played the role of a brothel owner.
