Baahubali 2 emerges as highest grosser ever, crosses Rs.1000 cr mark

Mumbai, May 7 (IBNS): Creating history, SS Rajamouli's blockbuster 'Baahubali 2' crossed the magical figure of Rs.1000 crore at the box office, which no other Indian films had ever done.

Filmmaker and producer Karan Johar tweeted: "The biggest milestone has been reached by the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema!!!! #1000croreBaahubali @ssrajamouli."

The Hindi version of the film also garnered Rs. 266.75 at the box office as per reports on Saturday.

Baahubali 2 is the sequel to Rajamouli's blockbuster Baahubali.

The movie stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj, Nasser, Rana Daggubati and Ramya Krishnan.
