Bollywood actress Esha Deol unveils Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers’ new bridal line along with poster of her comeback film Cakewalk
Kolkata, July 20 (IBNS): Bollywood actress Esha Deol was recently in Kolkata to launch a new bridal line by city-based Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers and a poster of her comeback film 'Cakewalk'.
Deol will be seen wearing some of the jewelleries from the new line titled the 'Shubh Vivah Collection' when she appears as a Bengali bride in the film, where is playing the role of a married chef.
The poster of the film features some of the products from the new bridal line.
Deol praised Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers on their new collection and said, "I am really happy that I got to wear it in the film. I think it is a beautiful collection and it complemented my look in the film.”
Rupak Saha, director of Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers, said that the new line has been designed keeping the choice of modern young women in mind.
“Today women want something which is a blend of tradition and modernity. So this collection is designed keeping in mind the needs of the modern women. Weddings are an important part of our lives and we have tried to create something that will enhance the beauty of the bride. The collection is exquisite yet affordable.”
Deol also spoke about her decision of returning to films shortly after giving birth to a daughter.
"Cakewalk is a 22 minutes short film," she said. "Ram [director Ram Kamal Mukherjee] is a dear friend who’s been wanting to do something creative with me. The script attracted me to the film. It came into my life at a time when I could devote only a certain amount of time. The medium of short film is very interesting and most importantly, it wasn’t that time consuming, which is important as I have become a new mother.”
When asked about the reason for choosing a short film as a comeback and not a feature film, she said, “As I am a new mother, I cannot devote all of my time to films. I wanted to do something creative but at the same time take care of my baby. So this fitted perfectly with my schedule and it creatively satisfied me.”
Deol said she is also exploring approaching Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers for jewelleries needed for her new dance ballet ‘Ramayan’.
