Deepika Padukone slams people who destroyed Padmavati rangoli

Mumbai, Oct 18 (IBNS): Actress Deepika Padukone has slammed those who attacked the Padmavati Rangoli in Gujarat which was created artist Karan K.

Deepika called the incident as 'heart breaking'.

Karan K’s rangoli was destroyed by a group of attackers recently.

Deepika said action must be taken against these people.

"Absolutely heart breaking to see the recent attack on artist Karan and his artwork!disgusting and appalling to say the least!," Deepika tweeted.

"Who are these people?Who is responsible for their actions?For how long are we going to let this go on?," she said.

"Allow them to take law into their own hands & attack our freedom & right to individual expression time & again!?," she said.

The actress, who will be portraying Padmavati in the movie, tweeted: "This has to stop NOW & action must be taken! @smritiirani."

Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed movie will hit the silverscreen on Dec 1.
