Derogatory comments on Valmiki: Rakhi Sawant arrested

Mumbai, Apr 4 (IBNS): The Punjab Police has arrested actress Rakhi Sawant for allegedly hurting Valmiki Community sentiments,media reports said.

An arrest warrant was issued against the actress by a local court on Monday.

According to reports, the Punjab Police team reached Mumbai to execute the arrest issued by the court.

Creating troubles for Rakhi, the court issued the arrest warrant against the 'Main Hoon Na' actress after she failed on Mar 9 to appear before it in connection with a case filed over making derogatory comments against sage Valmiki.

The comment was allegedly made by the Indian actress last year in a TV programme.
