Disney's Dangal takes its mahurat shot in Punjab

Mumbai, Sept 25 (IBNS) Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's next titled Dangal took it's mahurat shot on the Sept 21 at Ludhiana in Punjab.

The film is based on the life of former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat.

The mahurat shot witnessed in attendance the cast and crew of the film, including Siddharth Roy Kapur and Amrita Pandey from Disney along with the entire Phogat family.

“Aamir had a long chat with the wrestler and his family members. Siddharth Roy Kapur, the producer of the movie, also joined the team for the first shot,” says a source from the film’s unit. “Aamir has gained 35kg for the role. In fact, he recently shared the first poster of the film on various social media platforms,” adds the source.


Dangal, produced by Disney and Aamir Khan Productions is slated to release on Christmas 2016.
