Hrithik Roshan apologises for 'Pope' tweet

Mumbai, Apr 3 (IBNS): Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has apologised for his remarks against the Pope and said it was 'unintentional'.

"Seems my tweet about His Holiness has led 2misunderstanding. My apologies 4 hurt caused 2religious or other sentiments. Was unintentional," Roshan, who is known for acting in several popular Bollywood movies, tweeted.

He had triggered a controversy following his tweet on  “affair with the Pope”.

In an indirect tweet, the actor had wrote: ""Ther r more chances of me having had an affair with d Pope dan any of d (Im sure wonderful)women d media hs ben naming.Thanks but no thanks."

He had posted the tweet amid rumours that he was dating actress Kangana Ranaut.

According to media reports, a Christian group slapped a notice on Roshan for the tweet on grounds that it hurt religious sentiments.
