Actor Ranbir Kapoor said he felt 'scared' during his childhood days since his parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor fought each other and that had a deep impact on him.

Speaking to Youtuber Nikhil Kamath as quoted by News 18, the actor, who made his Bollywood debut in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya', said: "Anybody who speaks in a louder tone, it disturbs me, since childhood. My parents went through a lot of fights. We lived in a bungalow, so I have spent most of my childhood on the staircases, hearing them fight."

"I was always scared and on the edge," he said.

“I think they were both going through a rough patch. My sister wasn’t around, so I kind of felt responsible. My mother used to talk about her feelings to me. But, my father wasn’t that expressive. I never understood or heard his point of view," Kapoor said.

A popular Bollywood star, Ranbir Kapoor has worked in several popular movies like  Anjaana Anjaani, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani,Wake Up Sid,  Raajneeti,  Barfi!, among others.

He was last seen in 2023 superhit movie Animal.
