Hyderabad/UNI: Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu’s mother, Indira Devi, passed away at her residence here Wednesday early morning due to ill health.

The 70-year-old Devi, wife of veteran actor Krishna, had been suffering from age-related health issues for the past four days.

Her mortal remains are kept at Padmalaya studios to pay last respects and the last rites will be performed at Maha Prasthanam in the afternoon.

Krishna was married to Indira, and later to Vijaya Nirmala. He has five children with Indira; two sons—Ramesh Babu and Mahesh Babu, and three daughters—Padmavathi, Manjula and Priyadarshini.

Earlier, Mahesh Babu’s elder brother Ramesh Babu passed away at the age of 56 due to ill health in Jan 2022.

Vijaya Nirmala died in June, 2019 at the age of 73.

Several celebrities have expressed their grief over the demise of the actor’s mother.
