Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone on Wednesday dropped pictures of her baby bump on a day she attended a promotional event for her upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD.

In a new Instagram post, Deepika is seen wearing a black midi dress which was her attire for the evening.

In the caption, she wrote, "Okay enough…Now I’m hungry!"

In another Instagram video, Deepika was seen getting up from her sofa to take the dias while her co-star, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, helped her.

Deepika, who is married to popular Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, announced her pregnancy on February 29, 2024. The couple are expecting their first child in September 2024.

Coming to Kalki 2898 AD, the film, which is directed by Nag Ashwin, features Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.

The film's timeline will commence with Indian epic Mahabharata and merge with 2989 AD.

Speaking of the film, Ashwin had said as quoted by News 18, "The film starts with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. It spans 6000 years in time. We tried to create worlds, imagining what they would be like while still keeping it Indian, and not make it look like Blade Runner.

"The film begins 6000 years behind 2898 AD is 3102 BC, which is when the last avatar of Krishna is believed to have passed."

The film is slated to release on June 27.
