India Blooms News Service | @indiablooms | Mar 13, 2023, at 06:06 pm

Los Angeles: Twitterati fumed after host Jimmy Kimmel called RRR a 'Bollywood film' during a monologue at the 95th Academy Awards here on Sunday.

Jimmy called the SS Rajamouli directorial Telugu language film a "Bollywood film" in the opening monologue.

Some reactions

RRR is South Indian cinema, a Telagu film, Tollywood. Not Bollywood, as some Oscars ppl might be saying!

Dear #Oscars95 Team, #RRR is not a #Bollywood movie. Please note. 🙈

Ooh... #Oscars just love controversies and conflicts. Referring to #RRR as a Bollywood film even after hearing that the creators are promoting it as an Indian film for months.
