Saif Ali Khan meets auto driver Bhajan Singh who took him to hospital on stabbing night

Saif Ali Khan's mother Sharmila Tagore reportedly  blessed him.

 They had a short meeting of about five minutes on Tuesday before the actor was discharged from Lilavati Hospital, reported India Today.

According to reports, Saif hugged and thanked Rana.

Recalling the night of the attack, Rana told India Today: "I was in running and suddenly I heard a sound from the gate. A lady was screaming help from near the main gate saying rickshaw ruko (stop the rickshaw). Initially, I didn't know he was Saif Ali Khan and thought of it as a normal assault case."

"He (Saif Ali Khan) walked towards me himself and sat in the auto. He was in an injured state. A small child and one more person was with him. Soon after sitting in my auto, Saif Ali Khan asked me kitna time lagega. We reached the hospital in eight to ten minutes," Rana said.

Rana said Khan was bleeding from neck and back and his white kurta even turned red.

I didn't even take the fare. I feel good that I could help him at that time," he said.

Actor Saif Ali Khan, who has been discharged from Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital five days after he was seriously injured in a stabbing incident during a burglary attempt, waved at fans as he is back home on Tuesday.

The actor returned to his Bandra home, where heavy force had been deployed.

The actor, who has worked in numerous Bollywood movies and OTT releases, was undergoing treatment in the hospital after he was attacked by a person during an attempted burglary incident at his Pali Hill residence.

A Mumbai court on January 19 granted the police five-day custody of Shariful Islam Shehzad, accused of breaking into actor Saif Ali Khan's residence.

The accused, identified as a Bangladeshi national, was arrested early this morning in Thane after being tracked down by the police.

According to the authorities, Shariful illegally entered India and had been living in Mumbai under the false identity of Bijoy Das for several months.

Following his arrest, Shariful was presented in court.

The police told the court that he had entered the country unlawfully and sought to investigate individuals who might have assisted him.

The court is also examining the accused's connections in Mumbai.
