Singer Arijit Singh's mother passes away after turning COVID negative

Kolkata/IBNS: Renowned playback singer Arijit Singh's mother Aditi Singh, who had contracted Covid-19 weeks ago and was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in south Kolkata, passed away on Wednesday night, two days after defeating the coronavirus, reports said on Thursday.

According to sources in the hospital, 52-year-old Aditi Singh, who was kept on ECMO (Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) support, had tested negative for Covid-19 on Monday (May 17) and she succumbed to a cerebral stroke at 11 pm. on Wednesday.

The hospital authority said that the Singh family left with the body at around 5 am on Thursday.
