'SRK gave first hit in 10 years': Kangana Ranaut takes dig at 'Pathaan' actor

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has taken a slight dig at superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who stormed back to box office success with Hindi film Pathaan after several years.

In reference to the failure of her film Dhaakad highlighted by a Twitter user, Ranaut said, "I have never denied that Dhaakad was a historic flop. SRK ji has given his first hit in last 10 years. I take inspiration from him.

"I hope India will give me chance again like it gave to Shah Rukh Khan. After all India is great. Jai Shri Ram."

Ranaut, who calls out the alleged nepotism in Bollywood, replied to the user who compared Dhaakad's Rs. 2.58-cr box office collection as opposed to Pathaan, which is marching to the 500-cr club.

The 'Queen' actor on Friday said India will still chant Jai Shri Ram even after the massive success of Pathaan.

"For all those who have high hopes, please note that Pathaan might be a film, the country will still roar with Jai Shri Ram," she had said.
