Mumbai/UNI: Tata Mumbai Marathon and Tiger Shroff on Saturday announced their support for 'Each One, Plant One' initiative on the occasion of World Environment Day.

While kick-starting the initiative, Tiger Shroff said, ''With Each One Plant One, I want to create a powerful symbol for a better tomorrow. Environment change is like preparing for a marathon. It takes consistent commitment and begins with one single step."

"I urge everyone to plant a sapling within the safety and convenience of their surroundings and be a part of this green journey with me, Tata Mumbai Marathon and Project Mumbai.''

Project Mumbai, an NGO that specialises in the environment among other fields, brought together two institutions committed to the betterment of society, had started the 'Each One, Plant One' initiative.

"Safekeeping of our environment is arguably our biggest challenge and, the only way that we can win this battle is doing it together. By volunteering one's time for the community. The first step of which, begins with myself - me and from my home,'' said Shishir Joshi, CEO and Founder Project Mumbai.

''Each one of us now needs to take this step, individually and collectively and Project Mumbai is delighted to bring people together on one platform,'' he added.

To celebrate the efforts of all, a heart-warming video montage will be created thanking all the participants.

Tata Mumbai Marathon has been a catalyst for social change and is one of the largest sporting philanthropy platforms in the country.

On the association, Vivek Singh, Joint MD, Procam International, said, ''The Tata Mumbai Marathon is not just a sporting event. It has consistently strived to create a positive impact on society."
