Ace badminton player Jwala Gutta and actor Vishnu Vishal get married in Hyderabad

Hyderabad/UNI: Former Indian badminton player Jwala Gutta married Tamil Actor and Producer Vishnu Vishal here on Thursday.

Given the Covid-9 situation, the private wedding ceremony was held in a low- key at Jwala’s home here as attended by close family friends of the bride and bride groom.

Jwala , a 2012 London Olympics women's doubles quarter-finalist, looked the glamorous bride beside her dashing husband Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal, who she has been dating for almost three years.

The two got engaged in September after Vishnu Vishal proposed marriage on the shuttler’s 37th birthday.

The couple had announced their wedding date earlier this month.

Jwala, a doubles specialist, is a two-time Olympian and won the 2010 Commonwealth Games women's doubles gold medal with Ashwini Ponnappa. This was India's first women's doubles gold at the Commonwealth event.

Arjuna Awardee in 2011,  Jwala also won several other accolades , however,  she has been inactive on the court since 2017 and dedicated her life to nurturing young talents at her badminton academy in Hyderabad.
