Adam Gilchrist turns 45, cricketers wish him

Mumbai, Nov 14 (IBNS): Cricketers wished former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist on his birthday.

"One of the best men to have ever stood behind a wicket, @gilly381! A very Happy Birthday to you mate! I hope you catch all the good times!" Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar wished the former Aussie wicket-keeper.

Wishing Gilschrist in his unique way, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag said: "Today is a day to play Gilli Danda as a tribute to the incredible @gilly381 .Happy Birthday Adam Gilchrist."

Gilchrist turned 45.

The cricketer thanked people for wishing him and tweeted: "Thank you to all who have passed on birthday wishes today. Very kind and greatly appreciated, especially when away from home."
