FIFA opens tender process for UK media rights of FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019

| | Oct 11, 2016, at 04:12 am
Zurich, Oct 10 (IBNS): FIFA has opened an invitation to tender (“ITT”) for the United Kingdom (UK) media rights of the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019, an official release stated.

These media rights will cover TV, IPTV, internet, mobile and radio transmissions for the next edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup to be held in France in 2019.

This tender will help FIFA select the media company that is best placed to operationally secure the required transmission commitments and to achieve FIFA’s objectives of reaching the widest possible audience and providing the best-quality viewing experience for fans.

Through the sale of media rights for its flagship tournaments, FIFA generates vital income to fulfill its mission of global football governance and football development.

Media companies can request the ITT from the following address: UK-Media-Rights-FWWC@fifa.org.

The request must specify the names and titles of those who will interact with FIFA in the ITT procedure.

Following a question and answer period (from 11-28 October 2016), submissions to FIFA must be received by 17:00 (CET) on Nov 3,2016.

Negotiations with any preferred bidders will then commence thereafter on Nov 7, 2016.
