Ind-NZ: Bowlers put Kiwis on top with three wickets
At lunch, India are at 57 runs for the loss of three wickets.
Losing the toss and asked to bowl first, the Black Caps had a perfect start as Matt Henry, playing his first Test match in India, castled Shikhar Dhawan for 1.
At 1 for the loss of a wicket, Murali Viojay and Cheteshwar Pujara put up a 27-run partnership before Henry struck again, getting Vijay (9) to edge one to the wicket-keeper.
Vijay's wicket came at the expense of a warning which Henry had received from the onfield umpire Rod Tucker.
After being warned by the umpire for walking on the danger area (an area in-front of the wicket), Henry was forced to come wide of the crease, creating a line for the batsmen that proved too good for him.
His departure brought Indian skipper Virat Kohli on the crease, who is fighting a lack of form in recent times.
Kohli (9) started off with a breezy drive, but found the edge soon off a Trent Boult delivery, with Latham completing a fine catch to end his innings prematurely.
So far, Pujara has looked the best, scoring 31 off 57 runs.
His innings comprises seven boundaries.
Ajinkya Rahane (2) is keeping him company.
Meanwhile, New Zealand have fielded a team sans their regular skipper Kane Williamson, who is unwell.
Ross Taylor has been handed the reigns for the ongoing Test.
