Florida, Aug 3 (IBNS): India managed to clinch a four wickets victory against West Indies in the first T20 match against the Worrld Champions here on Saturday.

After restricting West Indies at 95 runs for the loss of nine wickets, India lost six wickets but evetually managed to reach the 98 runs target to give the national side 1-0 lead in the series.

Virat Kohli was dismissed early at 19, as West Indies kept pressure on the visitors.

Rising star Rishabh Pant (0) failed with the bat.

Manish Pandey (19) and Krunal Pandya (12) could not convert the start they get in the innings.

Washington Sundar (8*) and Ravindra Jadeja (10*) managed to take India reach the target easily at the end.

Cottrell, Narine and Paul picked up two wickets each for the hosts.

Earlier , Kieron Pollard (49) played a sensible knock as West Indies posted 95 runs for the loss of nine wickets in front of a spirited performance by the Men in Blue
