IPL 2020: BCCI names Dream 11 as title sponsor, replaces VIVO

| @indiablooms | Aug 18, 2020, at 09:18 pm

Mumbai/UNI:  The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday revealed Fantasy cricket league platform Dream 11 as title sponsor for the Indian Premier League 2020 to be held in UAE.

Earlier, due to rising tensions at border between both countries, VIVO and BCCI postponed their deal for one year.

The BCCI received Rs 440 crore from Vivo, while Dream XI will pay BCCI Rs 222 crore according to reports.

The cash-rich league will begin from September 19, with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on Chennai Super Kings.

Dream11 outbid companies like Tata Sons, Unacademy and Byju's to earn the title sponsorship deal for the lucrative league.
