ISL: Chennaiyin FC beat Kerala Blasters FC 2-1

Chennai, Oct 21 (IBNS) In a thrilling match of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL), Chennaiyin FC defeated Kerala Blasters FC 2-1 here on Tuesday.

Elano's 12th-minute penalty helped the home side take a lead.

Scottish striker Iain Hume scored the equaliser in the 50th-minute to take 1-1 scoreline.

A magical goal in the 63rd minute by Bernard Mendy snatched the match away from Kerala Blasters.

The Chennai took the second position  in the table with the win.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, southern superstar Rajinikanth and cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar attended the match.

Bachchan tweeted: "WE WON ... !! Thank you Chennai .. you were marvellous ! And the team excellent ! Thank you Rajnikanth for coming to cheer our team."
