KKR join CSK in lifting IPL trophy twice

Bangalore, June 1 (IBNS): Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) became the second team to win the Indian Premier League (IPL) twice since the cash-rich tournament commenced its journey in 2008.

MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have lifted the trophy two times.

KKR beat Kings XI Punjab by three wickets to win the trophy on Sunday.

It had last won the trophy in 2012 by beating CSK.

CSK had won the trophy under Dhoni's leadership. KKR lifted the trophy under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir both the times.
