Man detained for 'harassing' Shakib's wife granted bail

Dhaka, June 19 (IBNS): A Bangladesh court on Thursday granted bail to a man who had allegedly harassed country's all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan's wife Umme Ahmed Shishir at the Mirpur National Cricket Stadium during a match against India on June 15.

"The Judge of Tribunal 5 hearing cases on Prevention of Repression against Woman and Children has granted bail to Rahid Rahman, an alleged harasser, on Thursday,"  bdnews24.com reported.

The cricketer had filed   a case a day after the incident occurred.

Rahid was detained from his Banani residence, reports said.
