Sarfaraz Ahmed now abused and fat-shamed by fan as he was shopping with kid, video goes viral

London, June 22 (IBNS): Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has been facing criticisms from his fans ever since his side lost the World Cup match against India but this time a man took things too far as he abused the 32-year-old cricketer when he was  out with his family in a mall.

A video of the incident has gone viral on the social media.

According to the video, a 'fan' could be seen asking the Pakistani skipper for a selfie.

When the Champions Trophy winning skipper refused to oblige to the demand, the man started to abuse him.

The fan was quoted as saying in the video telling the captain: "Brother, why are you fat like a pig. Please eat less."

Sarfaraz maintained his composure and did not retaliate.

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra reacted to the incident and tweeted: "If online trolls had a face. Deplorable. Good on Sarfraz to act the way he did. Classy."

Journalist Syed Raza Mehdi has shared a video where the fan could be seen apologising for his remark.

Netizens came out in support of the Pakistani cricketer and condemned the act by the man.
