Shahid Afridi, Gayle to feature in inaugural Afghanistan Premier League

Kabul, Sept 11 (IBNS):  Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi, West Indies legend Chris Gayle, Afghanistan star Rashid Khan,  ex-New Zealand opener Brendon McCullum and West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell will feature in the inaugural Afghanistan Premier League this year.

They will be the  ‘icon’ players in the tournament.

The tournament will commence from Oct 5.

Paktia, Kabul, Balkh, Nangarhar and Kandahar are the five teams which will participate in the inaugural edition of the tournament.
