Dharamsala, Dec 10 (IBNS): Sri Lanka put up all-round performance which helped the visitors thrash India by seven wickets in the first ODI match of the series here on Sunday.

After bowling out India for 112 runs, Sri Lankan batsmen recovered from initial tough time, where they lost three wickets, to emerge victorious as they scored 114 runs by losing just three wickets.

Angelo Mathews (25*), Niroshan Dickwella (26*) and Upul Tharanga (49) managed to script a memorable victory for Sri Lanka in the Himalayan city.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Bumrah and Hardik pandya picked up a wicket each but could not manage to dismantle Sri Lanka from the path of victory.

Sri Lanka took 1-0 lead with this victory.

India were earlier bowled out for 112 runs.

Indian batsman MS Dhoni remained the top scorer for the side with his gutsy 65 runs knock.

He hammered 10 boundaries and two sixes in his heroic innings.

Indian batsmen kept returning to the pavilion at the other end without giving much resistance to the bowlers.

Apart from Dhoni, Hardik Pandya (10) and Kuldeep Yadav (19) joined the double figure mark.

The remaining of the line up surrendered to the Sri Lankan attack.
