Twitter lauds Rahul Dravid over Under-19 Indian team's victory in WC semi final

Christchurch, Jan 30 (IBNS): At a time the Under-19 Indian cricketers are celebrating their victory against Pakistan in World Cup semi final, Twitterati are praising the man behind the success, Rahul Dravid, who is the coach of the men-in-blue.

Lauding Dravid, Mayank Nema tweeted: "This is Rahul Dravid's team. No nonsense and no arrogance. Simply Silent killers."

Vinayak Jain said on Twitter, "The man who's turned the young guys into consistent and level-headed players. His contribution to developing India's next generation accentuates his legendary aura. Love you #RahulDravid."

K G Ramakrishnan tweeted: "lots of kudos to #RahulDravid and under 19 team, under your tutelage are poised to do well for the country in the years to come, Congratulations to everyone on the outcome and best wishes for the finals. The cup will be ours."

One of the Twitter users even took a dig at Indian senior team coach Ravi Shastri while congratulating Rahul Dravid.

Chetan Puttappanavar tweeted: "People call U19 Indian team as #DravidBoys but people never call senior Indian team as #ShastriBoys.. Power of #RahulDravid sir.. #U19WorldCup #ICCU19CWC # U19CWC #INDvPAK."

Dhavan Kadia said: "Congratulations to India U19 team for the win against Pakistan. This is #RahulDravid 's team. Simplicity at his best #INDvsPAK #U19WC."

Karan Gulati praised Dravid to say, "Congratulations to team India for entering the finals of #ICCU19WorldCup . While the boys played really well, some credit must go to the Wall. Under great leaders, great results are produced."

Riding on  Shubman Gill's sensational hundred, India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by mammoth 203 runs to cruise to the final of the Under 19 World Cup on Tuesday.

India posted 272 for the loss of nine wickets and then it was the strong performance by bowlers that helped the winners bowl out Pakistan for 69 runs.

Gill hammered seven boundaries in his 94-ball 102 runs knock.

He remained unbeaten till the end.

Manjot Kalra (47) and skipper Prithvi Shaw (41) provided India the much needed start at the early phase of the innings.

Muhammad Musa picked up four wickets for Pakistan.

Pakistan came down to achieve a target of 273 runs but were left in tough position by Indian bowlers.

Rohail Nazir remained the top scorer for Pakistan with 18 runs.

Ishan Porel destroyed Pakistan by picking up four wickets by giving away 17 runs.

India will face Australia in the final.
