Islamabad, Aug 12 (IBNS): Former Pakistan skipper Waqar Younis has said he believes that country's Prime Minister-elect Imran Khan will do the best for the betterment of the nation.

Speaking to Geo News, Younis welcomed the change and expressed hopes of a better future for Pakistan.

Younis said several areas needed improvement in Pakistan.

“The good thing is Imran has played cricket and that also top-level cricket. No one is a better judge of it than him. He has been thinking about changes in the sport for a long time," Younis told the news channel.

Imran Khan, who is a cricketer-turned-politician, and his PTI scripted a landmark victory in the Pakistan general polls held recently.

Khan was the captain of the 1992 World Cup winning team.
