Mumbai: Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) on Friday announced the opening of Taj City Centre in Bihar’s capital Patna marking the iconic brand's debut in Bihar's vibrant capital city.

Speaking on the occasion, IHCL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Puneet Chhatwal said, "This opening is in line with IHCL’s vision to bring world-class hospitality to India’s state capital cities with growing economic prominence.

"Taj’s entry into Patna will open new avenues to develop travel itineraries and circuits to the culturally significant locations in and around the state.  With Taj City Centre, Patna, we are delighted to extend our partnership with the Ambuja Neotia group.”

Nestled in the heart of the city, Taj City Centre, Patna, offers 124 luxurious rooms and suites.

Each space is meticulously designed to blend timeless elegance with modern comfort, providing guests with breath-taking views of the city.

Guests can embark on a culinary adventure at Shamiana, the all-day dining restaurant, or House of Ming, featuring the finest Chinese cuisine.

The J Wellness Circle offers a haven of tranquillity with traditional Indian therapies and contemporary wellness practices.

The meticulously curated multiple event spaces set the stage for grand weddings and corporate soirées.

Ambuja Neotia Group Chairman Harshavardhan Neotia said, “We are delighted to bring the iconic Taj brand with its legacy to the hallowed grounds of erstwhile Pataliputra celebrating Bihar's rich tapestry through its design. This will be our sixth Taj hotel of which five are operational across West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar and we continue to evaluate more opportunities to work together in this region.”

Renowned for its ancient sites, and recognised as one of the oldest continuously inhabited places in the world, Patna is a treasure trove of historical and cultural significance, offering a captivating journey through time.

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 3 hotels including 1 under development in Bihar.
