Taj Mahal makes debut in Twitter

Lucknow, Aug 15 (IBNS): India's iconic monument of love Taj Mahal made its Twitter debut as Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav unveiled the handle on Saturday.

Taj Mahal made its social networking world debut on a day when the country is celebrating its Independence Day.

The handle is named '@TajMahal'.

The handle has been described as 'The official Twitter handle of the World's most Loved Monument, located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. One of the wonders of the World.'

More than 3500 followers are currently following the handle.

"@yadavakhilesh Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, #India shares his #MyTajMemory on the official launch of @TajMahal ," read an official tweet posted by the handle.

Taj Mahal also became the first wonder of the world to mark its presence in social networking sites.

The historic monument is situated in Uttar Pradesh city Agra.
