7000 people participate in International Yoga Day celebration in Dhaka

New Delhi, June 21 (IBNS): Around 7000 people assembled in Dhaka's Bangabandhu National Stadium as they observed the fifth International Day of Yoga.

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka celebrated the Day on Friday morning. Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan, and State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury attended the event, reported bdnews24.

The welcome remarks was delivered by Indian High Commissioner Riva Ganguly Das.

A video message by PM Narendra Modi was also showed during the event.

Sports associations, Yoga associations and Institutes, students from various schools, colleges and universities in Bangladesh participated in the celebrations. Several celebrities including sports personalities, popular film actors, and singers also participated in the event, reported bdnews24.
