Kabul: Afghanistan's private school and university owners in Kabul city have complained that they have lost 60 percent of their students as the new educational year commenced recently.

The owners told Khaama Press that the ongoing humanitarian crisis and economic situation in the country have adversely affected the livelihood, thus most of the families have changed their children to study in public schools.

They said they have announced satisfying discount though, less number of students have turned up this year.

They said a large number of people have also left education.

Afghanistan is witnessing a severe transformation ever since the Taliban snatched power in the country last year.
