Afghanistan: Security forces kill Taliban group commander

Kabul, Aug 17 (IBNS): Security forces in Afghanistan have killed a Taliban group commander during an operation conducted in south-eastern Ghazni province, media reports said.

The 209th Shaheen Corps citing informed local sources reported that the notorious commander who was in charge of the Red Unit of Taliban was killed in one of the provinces of Ghazni on Friday, reported Khaama Press.

The sources further told the Afghanistan based news agency that the security forces also killed 34 other militants during the operation.

The Taliban did not comment on the issue so far.
