Kabul, Jan 21 (IBNS): A suicide blast in Afghanistan's Mohammad Agha district on Sunday targeted a convoy of Logar governor and the provincial NDS chief, media reports said on Monday.

However, the targeted people escaped the attack.

"Casualties are feared but the governor and the provincial NDS chief have survived the attack,” Nasir Ghairat, member of Logar Provincial Council, told Tolo News.

Unconfirmed reports told the Afghanistan-based news agency that seven bodyguards of the governor have been wounded in the attack, but provincial security officials have not commented about it.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
