Dhaka, Apr 14 (IBNS): A fire broke out at a garment factory in Bangladesh capital Dhaka's Mirpur-14 area on Sunday, media reports said.

The incident occurred around 5pm on Sunday, an official at the fire service’s control room told bdnews24 news portal.

Ten units of the fire service  are currently fighting to douse the flames.

No casualty has been reported so far.

Bangladesh witnessed two major fire tragedies in recent times.

In one of the major fire tragedies to hit the Muslim majority nation on Feb 20, several people were killed as the blaze, which originated in a chemical warehouse on the ground floor of the five-storey building named Hazi Wahed Mansion, left the country shocked.

A massive fire broke out at a Dhaka high-rise in March and left 26 people dead.
