Brampton, Nov 7 (IBNS): Canadian MP from Brampton North Ruby Sahota is looking forward to spend the month of November by celebrating Hindu Heritage Month at community events, in local Mandirs, and at Diwali celebrations.

Canada is home to a large Hindu community.

Since the first Hindu immigrants arrived in Canada at the beginning of the 20th century, Hindu Canadians from across Canada have made significant contributions across all fields: science, education, medicine, law, politics, business, culture and sports.

Hindu Canadians have helped build Canada into the multicultural success story that it is and have helped to build this country into the best place to live, work and raise families.

Sahota said: “Hindu Heritage Month allows us to recognize the important contributions that Hindu Canadians have made to our social, economic, political and cultural fabric.

“I look forward to standing in the House of Commons and voting in favour of Hindu Heritage Month so that we can celebrate it all across Canada.”
